Fintastic: Stock analyser using Twitter sentiment
In the dynamic world of stock trading, every decision counts. As part of the Hackathon - the mega event in the Comfest competition held in July 2021, I decided to put an additional dimension on stocks are evaluated.
The result? Fintastic, a unique web application that seamlessly integrates stock trading with sentiment analysis.
Traditional Stock Analysis
Traditionally, investors have relied on two key approaches: fundamentals and technical analysis. These methodologies involve in-depth research into a stock's financial health, growth prospects, and historical performance. While these methods are tried and tested, they don't capture a critical element - market sentiment.
The Birth of Fintastic
Fintastic introduces a paradigm shift by incorporating behavioral science into stock market investing. The core concept revolves around the idea that, in addition to fundamentals and technical analysis, market sentiment is a crucial factor. Fintastic harnesses the power of social media platforms like Twitter and news sources to analyze public sentiment regarding specific stocks.
